Science Day

Thank you to all the parents who participated in our first Science Day! The topic was Light and we learned a great deal from the three lessons presented to the class. The children were divided into three groups and traveled around to each table and discussed color mixture, reflection, how light affects our eyes and whether or not light could pass through certain objects. Today we talked about a prism and why we see rainbow colors when light passes through it. We will continue to talk about Light for the remainder of the week.

Smile Today!

Here is a cute short video that will put a smile on your face especially during this time of year. Enjoy!

Pezzettino

Just the other day we read the story Pezzettino. Did you know that Pezzettino means "little piece" in Italian? Yes it does and Pezzettino takes a journey to find out who he is a part of because he is so small and everything is so big. The task at the end of the story was to create a character that Pezzettino might be a part of. Below are some of our creations.

Hope all had a Happy Hanukkah!

We talked about Hanukkah in class. Mrs. Shusterman from our PM class happily visited, read a story about Hanukkah and taught the children how to play the dreidel game. Thanks so much!
