Welcome Parents!

Hope everyone is ready for the new school year! I am screening all children August 28th and 29th. Please make sure you review the Kindergarten reminders. This has a lot of helpful information about the classroom. I will update the specialist schedule as soon as I can. Please make sure you send in a rest blanket in a reusable grocery bag with handles along with a snack. And don't forget to wear your bus tags!! Looking forward to seeing everyone next Tuesday!

Year End Celebration

All parents and siblings are welcome to attend Field Day and Picnic with our class on Monday June 3rd (Raindate June 5). Following the picnic will be a short gathering back in our classroom Room 6. All are invited.

Our Newest Challenges.....

Who can build the highest tower? It was a TEAM EFFORT. We worked in groups and had 5 minutes to build the highest tower with plastic cups and cards. And the Winners were.......... Owen, Gabriela, James, Daniella and Graham!

In math we are learning about 2D and 3D shapes. Who can build a 3D shape? And the winner of the best one was......Miss Emma!

The Leaning Tower of FEETza.....

Our new mouse this month is Tyler the Teamwork Mouse! We worked on an activity that required teamwork. We divided the class into 3 groups. We took off our shoes. The object of the activity was to build the highest tower with our shoes in 3 minutes! We then discussed the project and talked about ways it could have been done differently.

Digraphs

In literacy we are focusing on digraphs and today it was SH. Look at the amazing list of words that the class came up with that had the SH sound in them!

To Be Fit Assembly

Today Memorial learned about healthy foods to eat to keep a healthy mind and body. Not to mention EXERCISING daily..............
