Thank you!
I do not want to forget to thank these parents, Mrs. Colombo, Mrs. Doe, Mrs. Nicholas, Mrs. LaRose and Mrs. Cabezud for purchasing books and certificates from the Literacy Fair. I soooo appreciate the contributions. We use our Dr. Seuss books so often that I needed to replace some very popular titles. They were very tattered and well loved. THANK YOU again for your thoughtfulness!!

Please NOTE....
It is winter! It is snow gear time! Please remember to LABEL your child's clothing!! Some can't remember what belongs to them and if it isn't claimed and has no name on it it will go into the Lost and Found. Also it is important that all rest blankets have a bag AND snow gear has a bag. This is the only way to keep your child's things organized and in cubbies. PLEASE PLEASE be mindful of this.
Also on another note: You need to return the report card envelope with your signature on it. THANKS!

Mystery Reader
Thank you to Mrs. LaRose for being our first Mystery Reader guest! How lucky are we to have fabulous moms and dads to share a book or two with us on a Friday morning!!
It's all about names!
Mrs. Teany came in to the classroom with a lesson on names! What do you notice about your name? How is it like someone else in your room? What do you notice about the chart? We enjoyed the time comparing our names and finding similarities.
Coding
Last Friday we spent time in the classroom learning about coding with Beebots! We can't wait to do it again in small groups.....so much FUN!!

The ZONES of regulation
Mrs. Bockhurst came to visit the classroom Friday to talk about the zones of regulation. These zones help the children determine the kind of energy they have by how they or a friend feels at certain times during the day.

Outside Recess Guidelines
With cold weather approaching, please be sure to send
children with appropriate winter clothing for outdoor
recess. In addition, please label your child’s items as our
lost & found box continues to grow. In most cases, we use
the thermometer to determine if the children go outside for
recess. If the temperature is below 20 degrees (with or
without the windchill) the kids will stay inside for recess. Otherwise, we head
outside for fresh air as long as the conditions on the playground are safe. Decisions
regarding recess are made as close to the lunch block as possible to allow for the
sun to (hopefully) work some magic. If the temperatures are below 20 degrees in
the morning, the children enter the building and wait in the gymnasium until the
start of the school day

Happy Halloween!
Trick or Trick!
Thank you to the moms who put on a great party today for Room 6. The weather was a bit dreary but warm. We paraded around the building despite the weather and were greeted by so many friends and family!

We earned it!
Today we earned a pajama day for all of the hard work we put into school so far this year. We were comfy in our PJs all day and had a chance to cuddle up with some of our favorite stuffies!
